Hi All
I am an undergraduate student studying here since last 6 months. I am a third year transfer student. My spouse applied TRV last october and was rejected with lots of reasons. Today I heard that undergraduate spouse will not get TRV in any case.
Is that true? Does anyone know about this issue?
Or someone with undergraduate study could able to bring their spouse?
Please help me on this matter
Thanks

I havent heard this - they should be able to get a TRV.

Have you reapplied and fulfilled all of their reasons?

Hi Tropical
Thanks for you reply. My spouse is planning to RE-apply in July 2010, requesting visa for 2 weeks time to visit me during summer break. First application on October 2009 was rejected saying that my spouse will not leave Canada and does not not have family ties and employment prospects in home country. Now I need to come up with employment papers, family tie up paper as well as saying that there are lots of opportunities back in home.
Hope this will work for her this July...
Cheers!

Some embassies are very reluctant to issues TRV's for visiting spouses. All you can do is try your best to show her ties in her home country to show that she is only visiting and will not overstay.

Yes they are very reluctant on this issue. What kind of TRV's is there other than visiting purpose and why she would apply other TRV? She wanted to come and visit and they do know that she will not return back..That's what everyone couple does? What if she gets her TRV and once she is here will it be easy to get her open work permit. How easy is that?
Cheers
