So far, 17427 invitation are issued and 1,57,573 positions are still open till December 2015.

I received a from a renowned consultancy in my country.

Now a days consultancy people making us fool.. and telling some stories that increase your CRS score... but giving money to them they told 6band is enough.

Now they are saying 1,57,573 positions left till December 2015.

I am asking to the EXPERTS of this forum it t true?? how did they know that 1,57,573 positions left??

They are just doing a subtraction of the published invitations from the previously announced immigration targets. What they are not doing is taking into account the application count still to be processed from previous years. In other words, they are lying with statistics.

This year's target has very likely already been reached. Please don't forget that the targets are calculated on the number of people who *land* in any given year (including dependents), and not on the number of invitations issued/applications received.

ahh they're picking and choosing how they're going to show you the numbers.

the overall cic target for 2015 was announced at between 260,000 and 285,000. That number INCLUDES dependents. So far less individual applications than that number will be approved.
As of Jan 2015, CIC had a backlog of 419,000+ applications waiting for processing. That number does not include dependents included on those applications.
The immigration target refers to the number who will land in Canada in that year. So considering it can take up to 6 months for EE processing, its safe to assume anyone invited since July is being counted in the 2016 target. Therefore it doesn't much matter if they've reached their target for 2015 or not because its done with. But they probably did, the majority of new PR's this year are coming from the backlog.
