Is it true? Only if you receive an email will you get the visa!

I've been reading various topics and I'm not able to come to a conclusion. Is it true that only if you get an email before your passport is released it means that your Visa is approved?
 
sometimes u get sometimes u dont ..its just a communication ..u may receive passport with vvisa stamped before even receving the email communication ..trust ur brain and be logical in thinking 90 % of the doubts will be resolved
 
Note that, If you apply through some consultant, they give their email address, so you may not receive an email at all.

I never got an email confirmation. Just received the PP directly with visa stamped.

Where did you apply from? Did you provide your email address in your application?

From Bangalore. I applied thro a consultant and they had given their email id but they did not get any email confirmation. Not only mine,they said there were many more visa applications that received visas without prior email confirmation.

I applied ma visa on Nov 8 th.....didnt get any mail....at last i received ma passport it was rejection they think i won't go back to my country after study.i want to re apply ma visa....please help me to get visa.

Can this be true? Do we still have anyone falling in this category?

Grad (BBA) - 2010 (wasted a couple of years due to change in course and illness resulting in failure to attend the exam)

Experience - 3 years at Thomson Reuters as a Senior Process Associate in Hyderabad.

Attached all the necessary forms GIC, Pre-Medicals, 10th, 12th and Grad mark-sheets and Degree along with service letter from Thomson Reuters with a strong SOP (Which I don't think should be shared since this is something that should be as original as possible and should defer from an individual to another).

The course that I had selected was Global Business Management @ Centennial College (Toronto).

Applied through VFS Hyderabad on 25th November and received my passport on 5th of December with the maple leaf stamped.

PS - I did not get any approval email from the Canadian High Commission and just got the passport dispatched message on 4th of December."

Hope we have recent experience.

Hey bro... I'm also applying in the same course... Now i think i won't have any problems regarding syllabus and books...

But u did pre/medical but in my case I was not advised of medical b4 my pp was dispatch that is why I concluded that I am probably refused bcos I have not seen who have visa approve without medical
 
Hii guys
I also applied for Canada student visa.
(12th day in embassy)
And on 26th ,i got an email from Humber(math head start program) for math placement test.they want to me book this test before first week of college.
What does it mean yr,i got visa.i haven't got my passport yet.
.
Interestingly,they congratulate me for joing Humber colllege.they sent me detail of the math test and they asked me to book your test date soon.they provide me ph. numbr,email.apart from that they also wrote me many gd things that can help me there date ....soon
What it means:i got visa,so they sent me all this stuff.
