You absolutely have to explain your intention on your SOP. However, be sure the VO will take everything under consideration, not only your SOP. So, if you are well covered, I’d say go for it and hope for the best. Good luck!

I got approved! I submitted my application on the 18th, then biometrics on the 22nd and got approved today! If anyone's case is similar I would strongly advise explaining exactly why you chose that program and how it relates to your previous studies. I'm not an expert in any way but I'm here if anyone needs advice. Good luck!

Oct 19, 2019 - Biometrics collection letter
Oct 22, 2019 - Biometrics submitted. Showed up as completed a few hours later.
Oct 22, 2019 - "We are processing your background check"
Oct 29, 2019 - 10:00 am, a letter notifying my biometrics are valid for 10 years. Review of eligibility status changed to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements".
Oct 29, 2019 - 1:50 pm, student permit approved.
Both will come same day right... biometrics approval and study permit approval
