Is it safe to send all personal information to an agent in India to sponsor a TRV for family?

Hi, I have a question regarding TRV. so my sister's family is planning a visit to Canada for 2-3weeks. They are applying for TRV through an agent. My question is how safe is it to send all my information including DOB, Passport number, bank statements, Tax papers, etc. to the agent? And what is the alternative? Thanks

There is no need to use an agent. You can apply on your own.

No one here can comment on whether it is safe to apply through an agent.
