Hello,

I'm Canadian citizen and I have no one else in Canada related to me.

My parents are dead. I have no brother or sister. Three of my 4 grandparents are dead (only my mom's mom is alive but we have been in total cut off since my mom died 25 years ago).

I have been attached to my aunt since I was little. Can I sponsor her under family class since she is the really only one I have in my family?

I have similar situation with my sister. It is difficult but if you can proof that she is the only remaining family member you might be successful. The waiting period will be long and you need good proof. I am not sure if someone can tell you exactly as there are many factors that play a role. Why not just giving it a try if she is your only remaining family.

I'm just not sure about my one alive grandmother but like I said we have not been in touch for 25 years and I dont even know her name.

Sure I have other uncles and aunts but the aunt I mentioned is the only one who I'm attached to.

There are some instructions and details on eligibility at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives-apply-who.asp .

I would call CIC (1-888-242‑2100) and ask them any additional questions based on:

"You can sponsor:

brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, granddaughters or grandsons who are orphaned, under 18 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship
another relative of any age or relationship but only under specific conditions (see Note below)
accompanying relatives of the above (for example, spouse, partner and dependent children).
Note: you can sponsor one relative regardless of age or relationship only if you do not have a living spouse or common-law partner, conjugal partner, a son or daughter, parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle, aunt, nephew or niece who could be sponsored as a member of the family class, and you do not have any relative who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or registered as an Indian under the Indian Act"

I just want to enquire about my application . Since 13 of October I got my Biometric request I haven't gotten any other update after Biometric has been done. I have done my medical examination and passed it . My Eligibility and background check hasn't been started. I am worried becouse I not gotten any update for long . what's the Normal proccesing time for sponsorship of

Please don't spam multiple threads with the exact same text.

Multiple threads already discuss this. Period between giving bio and medical and next steps is longest with no updates. It therefore is 'normal.' Normal can be up to 12 monhts from date of application.

You can order gcms notes at this point. They probably won't tell you much at this stage.

Even if someone can tell you the timeline, it's the timeline that's 10 years ago and have nothing to do with yours.
