is it possible to open a bank account with no address ?

Could anybody who are sure from this question answer me plzzz

upon landing i want to open a bank account (the next day) as i will bring my money in cash and dont want to keep with me .

IS it TRUE THAT THE BANK WILL NOT OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT FOR ME UNLESS I HAVE A PERMENANT ADDRESS?! I intend to only stay in toronto for 3 weeks , so could you please confirm to me if its possible to open a bank account the 2nd day of landing ?

Some banks may allow you to open an account with your home country address, even before you get to Canada. I opened an account with HSBC while I was still not in Canada, using my home country address

I JUST CHECKED WITH TAD BANK AND THEY SAID ( after putting me on hold for 15 minutes ) that its ok and i dont need an address !! ( sound so good to be true ) the employee actually checked with her supervisor and said its ok
