It depends on your preparation and on your scores what you will get in your TEF exam.

Yes, depends on how much time you are willing to devote to your studies and how well you prepare for the TEF as well as if you pick up languages easily.

well nothing is impossible diwakar, if you try you can but in order to get points for French language your level should be good, TEF is not easy.

However there is no harm in trying, try hard and you will learn.

My husband who travels a lot to Europe because of his professional reasons interact with local Europeans and now speak intermediate Spanish & Italian. Try.

i guess YES sanjiv......... I get my points arround 68-69 .... if i can claim 8 for french it will take me arround75 , then i guess, may be i m wrog, good points well above benchmark will strike the officers' head...... just a blind guess though........ if i am serious about moving to new destination and if it is only the efforts i have to pay, certainly i will give a try

The only significant number is 67. You will not get any extra benefit for scoring above 67. If you are in doubt of scoring 67 marks than go for french, otherwise it will be a waste of time and money.
