Is it possible to change something within a PGP application after AOR?

My father who lived in the US was married to another women while he was still married to my mother in Lebanon (by Lebanese law), therefore in America my mother is considered divorced while in Lebanon she is considered widowed because of his death.

When we filled out sponsorship for my mother we listed her as widowed because as I said we live in Lebanon and went by Lebanese law, but CPC Mississauga is now asking for a death certificate. Since he passed away in the states his death certificate says that he was married to another women whereas our mothers application states that she is widowed. Would we be able to explain to an immigration officer the mixup or is this grounds to have our application revoked??

The reason why the divorce paperwork in Lebanon was never processed is because by Lebanese law a women can't divorce her husband easily and would require the husband to submit the paperwork, which is something my father never bothered doing.

I think the "other woman" should be worried. She is not legally married to your dad.
Anyway, just show the paperwork (including the "unprocessed divorce paperwork") and attach a note to explain it.

I think your dad is still legally married to your mom when he passed away.

Yes he did, He legally divorced my mother in the USA before remarrying several years later. The divorce was just never done in Lebanon though.

We mailed in my dads death certificate and are waiting for them to contact us to answer any questions, I just hope they won't cancel our application over this. Do you have any idea how lenient/forgiving they tend to be over these things?
