Is it possible to change name on LMO?

If a Canadian employer has a positive LMO with a name on it, and the person did not apply for a work permit- is it possible to change the name on the LMO instead of just 'waste' it?

It is possible if the LMO is not used and is still valid, all LMOs will be valid for 6 month from the issurance date.
The employer could consult with HRSDC who issued the LMO to negotiate a change of candidate. Not 100% success, but worth a try.
