Hi everyone,

I have done PG diploma in networking.. But right now i am working with a trucking company as dispatch logistician NOC 1215. Is it possible to apply PR from a trucking company?

Actually,I went to an immigration consultant & he told that i cant apply for PR other than technical experience, not even at any managerial level job in any company.

As long as it is in NOC O,A OR B category job (except few noc code), you can apply. You need to change your lawyer. However, you may need to justify VO about your job at later stage. like why you working other than your field of study etc.

See here for more info:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp

Search NOC code here:

Thanks...

Your post is a bit lazy.

For someone to tell you your NOC, they will most likely need a slightly better job description than 'doing administrative tasks'. That it's a trucking company is irrelevant, but people will need a job description to know what NOC you fall under and therefore whether you can apply for PR via the CEC route.

Thanks for your reply. My NOC is 1215 (dispatch logistician), sorry i didnt mention earlier. I just wanted to know that under valid NOC code, can I apply PR from trucking company.I am worried since the consultant told me that trucking company cant get you PR and switch the job to technical field.

NOC 1215 is a valid code to apply under and reportedly, 74 people already have. Providing you can get the proper work experience evidence you should be fine.

Your "immigration consultant" is flat out wrong. Did you pay this person? Are they a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council?
