Just got my PR status after 5 years of living in Canada without leaving since 2019. I thought you need to wait 3 years with PR before applying for citizenship. But, I heard if you've been here 5 years on a temp visa, like for work or study, you might apply for citizenship right after getting PR. Is that true? Any ideas?

No, not possible. Please spend time researching the official rules on the IRCC website. It will be at least 2 years before you can qualify to apply.
