Is it possible to apply for 2 different work permits at the same time???

Hi,

My PGWP will expire in 15 days. I am currenty in EE but haven't got ITA. Here is what I am thinking:

1. Apply for a BOWP before my work permit expires.
2. Apply for PR through family sponsorship (my girlfriend is a PR) with an Open Work Permit Application in the same package.

Will this work?
