I just want to know if it is possible for an employer to cancel a visa. What if the visa is on hand already but the employer wants to cancel it long before u fly to canada? Is this possible.

Yes and No,No He cannot do it once issued,But He can advise CBSA to deny entry when you arrive in Canada

Tnaks BCguy...coz i only got my employer thru an agent and i dont have personal contact with my employer..The agent wants to have the other half of my placement fee when in fact i still don't have the result.

the best thing is to ask your agent the contact number or email add of ur sponsor, to make sure that u have a job waiting here bcuz lots of people r coming here to find out that they don't have job, they call it released upon arrival, so once they r here they r getting trouble on where to stay...without assurance from ur employer don't pay yet your fee...

yenoh07,
thanks...my agent was threatening me to cancel my application if i won't pay.Is it possible? It's a lot of money and i won't pay until i have my visa. I'm afraid that once i have the visa they will deny my entry to canada. Please advice me. My friend in Alberta confimed that the said employer is real.

Wait a second! Why would you have to pay any agent? An employee does not pay! It is the employer who pays the agent!

According to the LAW INSIDE CANADA,Outside Canada going rates Philippines 5,000 Dollars.China and India 6,000 to 10,000 Dollars,In fact I challenge you to find workers from those countries WHO DID NOT PAY FEES,Maybe only 5% did not not,95% do or else even if you are qualified your resume goes straight to garbage,Where does the agency get the money to pay the bribes for your exit permit????This is not theory but real world

You must know first if your employer is really interested to hire you now that alberta is also in recession...To give you some insights, last week I emailed my employer bout my application..My employer replied that even if I already have my working visa he will not let me come to canada until later this year coz of the recession....Contact first your employer before you pay your agent....
