Hello Forum:

I currently have PGWP and been working permanent full time for year and half and still ongoing.

At the time of my express entry, I had said I have a current job offer (b/c my employer had said since I am working, she would say yes). However, I looked into it further after I have been invited that you should only say yes if you have a job offer supported by LMIA.

During my express entry profile, I had said yes to job offer and no to LMIA and "NOC code on current work permit", I put down the current job NOC code.

However, I don't know if this applies to PGWP...

Will I get denied if I say "no" to job offer if my EE profile said "yes", although I was not given any points for the job offer?

Thank you.

If you have a PGWP it's an open work permit so there'd be no NOC code. I don't think it would really make a different as this won't affect your score.

Thanks for your answer..

I just don't know if I should keep what I have said from express entry profile or should I just change to no.

I would kick myself if I would get denied for the application from having two different information although it does not impact my score.

It should be fine to change it, however, I'll let someone with a bit more knowledge confirm 8)

Change it to No. If you continue with Yes, your post ITA checklist will prompt you to upload 3 different letters from your current employer - a requirement exclusively for those with an LMIA supported job offer.

You can change to No without any adverse consequences. If you're very worried, just add a short LOE highlighting this change and mention that you got no points for choosing Yes incorrectly earlier and that you are just making the right choice of answer post ITA without causing any material difference to your PR application.

Hello Asivad and friends,

Currently am working in Canada with ICT work permit for an Indian IT company. I have an Offer of employment which is send to CIC during my ICT visa extension in January 2015. Hence I mentioned in my express entry profile that I have a current job offer which is full time and permanent and said that i don't have a LIMA filed by the employer and working on work permit with offer.

Now that I have received ITA in 15th draw should i say 'yes' for job offer and not supported by LIMA matching with details during EE initial profile. I have not claimed the 600 points for the job offer supported by LIMA during my ITA.

The job offer received from employer has NOC, Job duties and salary details mentioned. It would be helpful if you guys can share your thoughts. Thanks.

If you don't have a job offer that can get you 600 additional points, answer No to the question of having a valid job offer.

Thanks Asivad. Will it be a problem if I say 'No' now after ITA because there is a mismatch of information which i initially provided.

Is there a way to contact CIC to clarify this ?

You are in a similar situation as I was. I wrote a LOE as to why the information was changed from express entry profile vs. PR application.

Also, currently, no CIC officers that will clarify anything in regards to EE when you call them.

There won't be a problem because it makes no material difference to your application. Enough people have done this already and reported in the forum as well.

If you're very worried, you can add an LOE highlighting this change and asserting that this makes no difference to your CRS.
