AOR Received.
19-07-2018
Hello! I received my AOR on July 19th, and I passed my medicals today. The background check part of the application says "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" which, from what I've gathered from this discussion board, is IP2. Has CIC just changed their wording or is it normal for an application to go straight from MEP to IP2 and any insight on whether this is a good or bad thing? Thanks!

Are you an inland applicant? If yes, then that's how it is for all inland applicants.

Hi, no, I'm an outland applicant. But I was a student in Canada and my bachelors degree is from Canada - I don't know if that helps.

Yes, so if you have been in Canada before, they already have your history same as inland applicants and tend to move such applications to the so-called IP2 upfront.

Thanks for the insight! Just one more question - does the background check stage in any way indicate if your eligibility check has already been done, or is there no way to know that unless you order your GCMS notes?

Eligiblity is not done because you moved to so called Ip2 same time as MEP. Eligibility will be done now.

The only way to learn if eligibility is passed is to order the notes or call CIC.
