I'm the applicant and my wife is sponsoring me, she hasn't gotten an email or letter saying she was approved or anything. But I got an email telling me they received the application an gave me my app number that starts with a F and a uci number that I can get into ecas with, it says my name and application received June 8th.which is the day that it arrived in mississugua. Why did I get the email an not my wife?
Is it normal for the principal applicant to get an email before the sponsor?

I believe its a good news and your wife has already been approved for the sponsorship..

Ecas is not reliable at times. There have been instances of people recieving their visas while ecas showed 'in process'. Also, on form IMM1344, what did you answer to the question "if you are found ineligible to sponsor". Was it withdraw or continue?
Are you logging into eCAS using applicant's info or sponsor's info? If they have already created an immigration file number for applicant means that the decision has been made on sponsorship and the file has been transfered to the VISA office abroad responsible for your contry and the PR application will be processed there...kourts said:

Strange as usually Mississauga would only communicate with the Sponsor... I know it's a silly question but did you provide both email addresses? Perhaps you only provided yours on the application? Who knows but at least it's something. Did the email say anything else? Was it sent from Mississauga? So many questions but could it be AOR from your VO?kourts said:
