I got my photos done from shoppers drug mart but they refused to sign at the back and asking me to get the signature of any gurantor? Has anyone experienced this before?
Please advise

It is common practice. The photo shop is only required to take a photo and place a stamp on back on the photo of their store name and address. There is usually a note with a line for a guarantor's signature stating that the photo is a true likeness of the applicant. The guarantor's is required on back of the photo as well on their signature on the passport application. It has to be someone with a Canadian passport that knows you for at least 2 years.

Unfortunately that's not really feasible for me. Any other suggestions please? I remember while applying for pr as well i did not get it signed and it went just fine

Oh, Whether we need guarantor signatures at the back of the photo for citizenship application??

You don't need to photos signed for citizenship app. The guarantee is for passport apps.

Of course it’s necessary, it’s in the instructions
Where are you seeing it in the instructions? I didn't have a guarantee signature on my photos for citizenship. And just looked at the specs page and it's not mentioned there or in the instruction guide.

My reply is about passport application not citizenship application

I assumed the poster is asking about citizenship photoa since they posted in the citizenship section and didn't reference passport. I've been confused by the responses.

I assumed that it was for passport because the photo shop advised him to get it signed by a guarantor, I could be wrong and you could be right, in any case, my post was not clear, hence it would have been interpreted otherwise
