In some sample invitational letters for TRV for parents, I noticed that the host mentions "I will cover all their living expenses (housing, food, travel and medical insurance) during their stay in Canada".

Is it mandatory that I bear the costs of my visiting parents? I don't even have a job and am only studying there since Sep '13 so if I write that, doesn't it look inappropriate?

My mother who is a housewife is going to visit me and is going to show enough bank balance/FDs back in her home country.

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank you so much. :)

Thanks Jalex, so do you think this statement is correct: While in Canada, she will stay with me at my current residence; insurance, food and flight costs will be covered by her.

If you have PROOF supporting what you mention, you will be fine.
