I am planning to apply for SP for Fall intake. University is not asking me to pay the fees upfront, also I have scholarship letter to cover all the cost for 2 year. I havent yet accepted the scholarship, that will be done once I register and after I review its terms and conditions. (I may not accept if there are any weird obligations in the conditions)

So for the study permit application in university catagory checklist, there are two availiable option, GIC or Loan. I dont want to go for either, however, I can show funds in parents name to cover all the living and tuition fees.

so is it okay if I apply without GIC or Loan. How it will affact the chances of acceptance?

If your college/program falls under the SPP category, GIC is mandatory. Since you have secured admission to a university, you don't necessarily need GIC. However, please remember GIC is highly recommended, apparently the chances of getting a student permit increases. If you don't wish to go via GIC or Loan route, you need to show proof of funds- like you said, you can show your parents have the money. Again, if you pay the fees, at least for the initial term and/without GIC, chances of getting SP increases. Think about it this way, payment of fees (full or part), GIC etc. show your commitment towards the course and your intention and sincerity to pursue the course.

Also, have you got full scholarship (since you mentioned it covers all the costs for 2 years)? Scholarship again makes a stronger case.

It's entirely up to you about how you want to go about it, my opinions are just suggestions and my understanding of how things work. Good luck!
