You do not need to write this in sop, but you have to put 'yes' in a question, which is asked on a form of Canadavisa application. Be aware and never forget to mention about your past refusals. Hiding refusals will definitely lead to another refusal. So, when you would go for signing your application for study permit, please do check all the documents (including this refusal question).
