Is it hard to get a nomination overseas?

Hi guys/girls, I have tried searching this forum but there are a lot of mixed questions and answers, how hard is it to get a nomination living outside if Canada? In my case, my crs score is 430, living in the USA
I read a lot of people getting nominations but they are currently working or studying in Canada. Any thoughts? Links to where I can read experiences from other people? Thanks!

It is harder if you do not have any existing ties to Canada such as education, work experience, or family. However, it is not impossible. Here is a good list you can sort to see streams you may qualify for without any Canadian ties.

Thanks! Very useful indeed. Narrowed my options just to 4 provinces I should focus on. In the meantime, if I do enter in the express entry pool with a 430 score I know I will not get an ITA, but are provinces looking for candidates like me and sending ITA? Very helpful information.

It's a bit hard to say. It depends on a number of factors - including your NOC.

If you have any way to increase your score (e.g. taking IELTS again), you should do that.

NOC - 2281 computer network technician, and more than 5 years as an IT specialist support would fit in NOC - 2171 as well. Hey thanks for your replies, I really appreciate this and I will be looking forward to apply once the IELTS test centers reopen again.

You can take Cepip, some testing centers are open in the U.S.
