Is it easy to get a job in Saskatchewan?

I am currently studying a diploma program in Ontario, but i plan to move to Saskatchewan after graduation. The reason i am doing that is because SNIP is much easier than Ontario PNP. But i would like to get an opinion from someone who is already in Saskatchewan or know a lot about Saskatchewan, I want to know whether it is easy for recent Ontario graduates to find a job in Saskatchewan or is it difficult for them? And which city is better for opportunities? Whether i should pick regina or saskatoon?

Help would be much appreciated.

It depends what line of work you are looking for. The province of Saskatchewan has about 1.1 million people (the GTA is six times larger). Consequently the employment market fits this population and you may find opportunities very limited. Farming and Natural resources (potash, uranium, coal, oil, gold and diamonds) are the mainstays of the economy and employment opportunities although it does have a small but flourishing science area. It has it's own universities and just because you have an Ontario based qualification doesn't make you special.

Saskatoon is a bigger city than Regina but both are very "small town" compared to TO. Personally I really disliked TO and am much happier in Saskatoon.

hi, are you already there in saskatoon? im an engr by profession, just want to know if there are lots of engg jobs there. actually alberta is my destination but because SINP is much easier than AINP, so i have to choose SK to help my relatives also after i arrive there. just planning. thanks in advance for your information

well i hope i find one..I also have some qualification from the United Kingdom..But yeah thanks for letting me know that sakatoon is a better city..But i hope that its not a big deal to work for 6 months after i recieve a 36 month PGWP after completing my 2 year diploma..

Contrary to popular opinion there is not too much of a worker shortage in Saskatchewan. Unemployment is below the national average but there are no shortage of applicants for vacancies.

i am 28 years old and live in Vancouver since 2006!
i always tried to find legal ways for immigration but, takes too long. ( canadian experience class= 1 year job experience Noc A B or 0 category and 19 monts immigration process)
i am in last semester in college and taking my art and science associate degree. i have bachelor of business administration degree from back home ( i am from Turkey) how is life in saskatoon? people says it can be boring after Vancouver? actually i do not really care tht part because in Vancouver if you are not lucky and did not get your immigration: it means you are low cost labour for companies. i just want to get my immigration and start my life as soon as possible!
i am thinking to apply sinp student category. how is admin jobs in saskatoon? is it hard to find?
and is it hard to meet people there?
how local people treat immigrants?? if someone make me clear! it would be great :S

I'am just wondering if you went to Saskatchewan at the end cuz I'm planning to move there too. I have a 3yr College Diploma (International Business Administration), which translates that I have 3yrs to get the PR. My question is did it took you long to find a job? (like 2weeks maybe) And did you see any difficulties that may had arise when you arrived (beside the cultural shock ofc). Greatly appreciate the feedback!
