Hi,

A couple of days ago, I read about the permanent residence Canada and got few doubts to be cleared. In that, I found that we can sponsor our relatives to Canada under the family class. It says that we can sponsor,
1.our spouse
2.our conjugal or common-law partner
3.other eligible relatives such as parents or grandparents
4.your dependent

But, I have got a doubt in this. My marriage was in the US and my wife is a US citizen. So it is a problem? Will there be any issues if I sponsor them? Should I submit a marriage certificate? I would like to get your advice on this.

Your replies will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It doesn't matter where you got married. Yes - you'll need to submit a marriage certificate. There is a great deal more you will have to submit in addition to that. I would recommend you read through the application details on the IRCC web site.
