Hello all,
I'm about to apply for study permit again for one year certificate course in SIAST.
My question is how much possibility they issue me a study permit if I apply with my family? Or is it always better to apply a one just myself first? I applied with my family in last year and only got refusal due to I couldn't convince them that we would go back to home country after end of school, purpose of visit, current job situation and previous history in the US. I didn't included any supported documents for above reasons they against, but I'm curious that how other people successfully convinced them a such refusal reasons.
I could get job position guarantee letter for the work I have now that says they secure my position after end of school a year later. I probably able to get car registration card that I own a car here. I don't have any real estate or sort of firm assets in my home country.

I would appreciate if anybody give me any advise.

it is necessary to show some assests to ur home country...such as runing business, property at ur name or ur family that strng ur ties with ur place of living....if u have spouse and kids better to apply separately always...this make ur chances towards success and ur spouse at ur home country make even mre strong ur ties...i hope it helps

One of the most important factors for VO is home tie! As it already stated, you must prove you have a tight home tie and assure VO that you will be back to your country. No property is kind of risky. Always try to bring your risk as low as possible. Apply alone! This is very important. At least you will be back to your country for your family. Good Luck.

1. But the question is, how to prove your home tie? First look at your mark sheets/academic records and proposed course selection, if it looks good, means you are good to go. If you look at the visa checklist, no one is asking you to submit million dollar statement or heavy property.

There is no doubt for a good result but I don't think first class degree is enough for getting visa. No need for million dollar statement and heavy property! As long as you have approximately C$10k in your account for each year would be enough except your tuition fees and property is not a must but it's better you have it for home tie and family establish. Good Luck

It doesn't matter how many times you apply. As long as the problem exist with your previous application, you will be having the same rejection reason until you fix the problem. Good luck.

Leave family for a while as hostage right. However I think some people want to take their family along just because they like to save living expense. I will try to apply alone next time, I can even apply online instead of send application to Manila as I did last time.

One question, it is important to keep all information same or mostly same for application the last time and next time right?! I mean job history, travel history such as. I believe they keep last application I did submit, so I believe that I shouldn't make any contradiction to last application right.

I'm planing to get a letter form a job place that they will secure a position I have now, copy of driver license, family registration, address registration, may be a car registration.

Oh last question, if I successfully issued study permit alone first, how much chance for my family to join me later? Any Possibility? And also if they can, how long do they have to wait till start to apply? 6 month or at least a year?

Thank you for your opinion!

I honestly think (and this is my HUMBLE OPINION) that if you chose a longer course then you might stand a better chance of convincing them. I dont think when you choose certificates and such that it makes them feel that your primary focus is really and education versus a way to get into Canada and not return. I also think the longer your course is, is the greater your chances of getting TRVs for your family. I mean, why would they want to split up your family for an extend length of time. (AGAIN THIS IS MY HUMBLE OPINION).

Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Thank you replay.
Besides consider a longer course, what do you think what are other factors to convince them " strong tie to home country"?

Yes, for sure most of your documents MUST be the same. However, try to prepare other documents which you didn't submit for the first time. Remember, DO NOT APPLY WITH CHILDREN.
After you successfully been able to get your visa, maybe after 6 months(safer), you would apply for your family to join you. But again if you have 4 members in your family include you, apply for 1-2 at first then after their journey when they come back to your country(HOME TOWN) the other one apply. This is somehow ridiculous but it's the way so many people do. In this way you will assure VO that your family member are not planning to stay in Canada or being a refugee and as a result they provide you visa easily for your next apply.
Hope it helps.

You have applied, haven't you? So I just suggest you to be patient and wait for the result. I pray for you and your children to get one.
