Is it advisable to send an email to CIC from different email id?

I am running out of my patience, I am waiting for PPR since few weeks. My lawyer is not interested in sending email to CIC, he thinks that we should be waiting for their reply. ( was trying to get an acknowledgement from CIC for recently sent additional documents)

is it advisable to send an email to CIC from my personal id? normally CIC directly contact to my lawyers email id.

I don't think they would reply your email. There were other people in this forum tried to do the same and CIC replied them back and said their emails were not recognized.
Maybe others have different opinion on this..

seriously vinny, i also have a representative lawyer,but I do sometimes use my own email if I want to ask them something or provide some information, just include to your email,you name,DOB,aor number .
I tried it a couple of times and they replied

You need to specify UCI, File #, Surname, Given Name and DOB. emails to CIC should include these things. I think thats what maynald meant. No need to forward your lawyers email.

example...

below are informations about me:

surname:
given name:
DOB:
UCI:
application file number:
type of application:

CIC will probably only respond to the email addresses listed in the contact details, and on the 'use of a representative' form (your lawyer). If your email address is included with your contact details, then they should reply to you - otherwise they may refuse for privacy reasons.

Alright, but they still may refuse to reply for privacy reasons, as someone in another thread recently found out. Not sure whether they included all those details though.

I am not sure what cic does in this case. But as an applicant I would prefer they don't reply any inquiry about my file to email addresses other than what I have provided. Even if the email includes all my info..

on which email you sent questions to CIC and got reply after couple of days? Not talking about auto-reply, only getting real answer from an immigration officer.

I sent an email to both addresses and got an auto-reply from CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca only.
