Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello,

I am a Canadian Citizen getting married in Feb 2017 (in India). I am contemplating whether to ask my fiance to apply for TRV (visit visa) before the wedding i.e. now.

Option 1:
1) Have my fiance to apply for TRV now (Nov 2016) and hopefully get approved (lets assume).
2) Get Married in Feb 2017 and come back to Canada by myself.
3) Apply for Outland Spouse sponsorship (end of Feb).
4) Once spouse application is sent to New Delhi (after receiving sponsor approval which seems to take 30-40 days based on other posts), have my spouse come to Canada on visit visa approx Apr. (is this a good idea given at this point she will probably have to quit her job in India before coming to Canada on visit visa?).

Option 2:
1) Not apply for TRV now and instead apply for outland spouse sponsorship in Feb 2017 after getting married.
2) Apply for TRV after getting sponsor approval (is it difficult to get visit visa while sponsorship application is in progress?)

What option would you recommend? Is there any other option that you might recommend?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and advise.

It is usually more difficult to get a TRV once the applicant is married to a Canadian citizen or PR.
To get the TRV, she has to prove that she will leave Canada. She should show ties to India such as: proof of a job, with a letter from her boss giving her time off; proof of home ownership or a lease; bank accounts; investments; proof of enrollment in school; basically anything that will help to show that she just wants to visit Canada.

She can quit her job after she gets the TRV, though the border agent may ask her what she does for a living. When she enters Canada on a TRV, she should have proof of ties to India, a return ticket with a specific date, and proof you have already applied for her PR (if you have).
