Is it a problem if place of birth is not added to canadian passport?

i heard it optional to have your place of birth mentioned on an canadian passport
would it create problems while traveling if place of birth is not mentioned ?

For example Jewish people (Israel nationals) are banned in Malaysia. Not having place of birth in passport may raise questions and delays entering such countries.

China requires place of birth; so does Russia and some other Latin American countries. It's good to have it to avoid delays. No need to hide where you're from
