Is it a mandate to visit Canada immediately Once Visitor Visa is provided?

Hi,
My Parents have got their Visitor visa two days back. They were earlier planning to come to Canada and visit me and my family in June. But now they might have to postpone their trip due to some pending things back home and cannot visit us here (Canada) until next year (2019) April.

Can someone please clarify that "Is It a mandate for them to visit Canada this year as the invitation which they got from my side was for their trip from June End to July End 2018".

or

There is no requirement from their side to visit us this year and they can come here and visit any year (as long as their VISA is Valid). They have Multiple Entry Visa!!

PS: I am Permanent Resident Of Canada
