Is it a AOR (got a soft copy from CIC)

Hi

My citizenship application was reached to Nova Scotia on 01/Jun/2015 and i got a letter as a SOFT COPY to my gmail from CIC Sydney.

That letter is saying "This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canada citizenship. citizenship and immigration canada will review your application and supporting documents and will contact you if additional information is required"

This soft copy letter has Application Number ; C000XXXXXXXX

My questions :

1) Is it a AOR or i might get other document AOR

2) Still now i didn't the AOR in Postal so when will i get the AOR as a Hard Copy in postal .

It certainly sounds like AOR.

I personally received a hard copy mailed to me. But the first few lines of my letter is similar to you said was in yours. I applied 2 years ago so perhaps they are doing more stuff electronically now.

Yes,it is
your AOR is an attached document .
if you provide your email, you will get it by email. While if you don't , they will mail it to your address .
it seems that you have already provided your email
most people got it by emails.

Yes, the AOR is a PDF attached to an e-mail from CIC. You will not receive a hard copy.

I had provided a correct e-mail address but they still mailed hard copies of everything. I didn't have any electronic correspondence with CIC regarding citizenship. It was the opposite when I sponsored my wife. Almost everything was via e-mail.

It looks like your activity was in 2013, so perhaps things have changed. My spouse (applied this year) received an e-mailed AOR (no hard copy), but a hard copy of the notice to appear for interview/verification of documents.

No. There was a link in the e-mail to access it online.
