Hi,
I received an EE CEC ITA (June 2020) after my PGWP expired (May 2020).
Therefore, I could not apply for a bridging work permit after submitting the PR application in July 2020.
Since then, I have no income and cannot receive CERB while remaining within Canada for the PR final decision.
(Ps. I had applied for a visitor record before my PGWP expired; after waiting for 6 months, CIC issued a one-month visitor visa, and it expired in December 2020.)
On Jan 8, 2021, CIC announced that expired PGWP holders in 2020 could have chances to restore their work permits.
However, it states, "you must have a valid temporary status."
My question is: Does my implied status in the waiting final decision of PR consider a "valid temporary status?"
If not, should I apply for another visitor record?
Thank you very much for taking your precious time to help with my question.
