Hi all,

I am doing my PG Diploma in Global Business Management Lambton College,Mississauga(One year). I would like to do an another course in any of the colleges in Saskatchewan. Is IELTS is considered for your further studies in Canada? Or Is it not considered for further studies? Can anyone suggest any colleges in Saskatchewan who doesn't consider the same :)

Thanks,

Hareesh H

As far as I can see CIC has no concern about your IELTS so long as your a Temporary Resident (Student on Study Permit). I would guess that each University and Institution would have their own criteria for assessing language. I think the standard is 2 years for a IELTS score to qualify on an application. So you are best to just apply and use your previous IELTS score.
Hope that makes sense

Thanks chrbrow.

But i did heard some colleges might not consider your IELTS score if the International student has already done a Full time Graduate/PG course inside Canada and English as the language of Instruction.

I just wanna make sure, Is this is real or not.

Thanks,

I have many clients of mine studied PG one year and extended 2 year incase if you are applying for another college you need to show prrof of English language .( as you are studying in lambtom i am just guessing u must be having 6 bands in ielts or 6.5 with one module 5.5 in such case if you are changing the college and applying for another college required 6.5 bands with not less then 6 then you have to re take or try for college with same criteria ...

Thanks

For exact information you should contact the school you are trying to get into. As you mentioned you are interesting in attending a college in Saskatchewan, we only have sask polytechnic here. There staff is very helpful, you can email them your concern and someone will get back to you.

Good Luck!!

It's up to the academic institution. I did my IELTS because my university required, the only requirement from CIC was the Letter of Admission and the funds to sustain myself and family for a year plus the tuition cost.
