Hi

As far as i understand FORM 16 is given by the company that you are working for. So if you have it good if not nothing can be done about it. It is better to have the Income tax returns for the last three years. THey may not ask for it but to be safe better to have it.

Regards

Hey thanks for the reply balakri,
Bt another question which comes up is, Income Tax return statement does not specify the company's name..right..so how are they (CIC) gonna get to know which company did i filed it thru, cz i am working side by side for 2 companies and i want to show it for the other one from which i did not file my IT return. So is it finr when they asks for IT resturn to submit the other company's.

Pls advice.
Thx

Better submit whatever you have to prove your job, Organization and the NOC code. If you have it, why hesitate to submit it before they ask for it.

Hi

Yes you are right in saying that the IT return do not show the company name. You can go ahead with it. But on the cautious side do the pay match with the IT return/Bank statement/Payslips you need to be prepared for all this. (Just to cross check)

These maynot be asked but why take a chance. Its a lifetime opputunity so be very clear and correct inwhat ever you are doing.

Seniors would be able to answer better i suppose.

Regards.

Dont you guyz submit the original Form 16 to Indian Income Tax Dept? I am surprised you have originals.

One might have a copy of the Form 16, if they have taken it before submitting the original.

Dear GRV,
I would advise you that you should submit your FORM16 along with your Income Tax return receipts. You are right, that FORM 16 give a detailed account of your employer, and your nature of employment (as it mentions the details of your salary and income tax paid). Your FORM 16 will further strengthen the genuineness of your employment, and thus minimize any suspicion in the minds of the canadian high commission officials. With regards, harryk.

dear all
i got form 16 of my current job but dnt have the same from my last employer
do they ask for it
i already gone thru medicals..
and waiting for PPR.

my view, u must submit it if u have it. if u submit more and more papers showing ur association with the employer e.g. Form 16, pay-slip, id-card etc. less the chances that they will get a call from them. so my advise, file each and everything that shows ur association with the company.
