Is Flagpoling Considered a New Date of Entry?

Yesterday, my partner and I flagpoled. However, it didn't go well and now I need to apply online. In a form, they are asking for my most recent date of entry to Canada. Considering that technically I never "entered" the USA because we turned back, is that date considered a new entry into the country? I don't have any new stamps in my passport.

The day you presented yourself at a POE is your date of entry, in other words yesterday in your case.
