In the CIC citizen online application -> Physical presence section, there is question that:
During your 5-year eligibility period, did you have a valid temporary resident status before becoming a permanent resident?
And yes, I was holding a visitor visa (Temporary resident status) before becoming a PR.
Date you received the status: February XX, 2019
Date your status expired: January XX, 2021 (date before becoming PR)
However, between February XX, 2019 and January XX, 2021, I applied extended stay in Canada by applying a visitor record (my visitor visa only allows me to stay in Canada for 6 months in a row).
There is a question in the CIC website:
Did you apply to extend your status?
Should I answer yes or no for this question? Is extending stay in Canada (applying visitor record so that I can stay longer than 6 months) the same as extend status as visitor?
Thanks!
