Is ECAS down for good?

Hi there,

it has been more than 2 months (at least in my case) since ECAS was down. Does anyone have any info if it is going to be working again? My application was approved, but I would need to change my address in Canada after landing, and the only way I know to do it is by going through ECAS.

Do you mean down as in you can't access the website? Or can you access the site but not log on?

I just logged into mine, although it still doesn't mention the PR Card I finally got 2 weeks ago.

I.can access but cannot log in. I haven't landed yet,.maybe that has something to.do with it. What data are you using to log in - your UCI number or application number or?

I am able to log in with UCI, and have logged in using my EP application number and I've even logged in using the payment receipt number from my RPRF.

I just checked - cannot log in using neither of these. There was a short period (2 weeks) when ECAS was working fine for me. Now it is down - since end of Nov. And it is down for all of the applicants I talked to here on the forum and on the Facebook group.

There is a rumor saying it is down for EE applicants without a PR status.

Well, Ive landed and been here since last 6 weeks. But it still doesnt recognise my UCI/EE number (ever since I landed). It could be the fact that, since the application is complete, we no longer have access
I have called CIC and updated them with my latest address since I cant access eCAS

Yup correcto - EE applicants have both myCIC and ECAS access. myCIC says the application is complete
Ecas allows you to change details/address/phone number (which I couldnt via myCIC)

Dont think its a pressing issue - but just that CIC has kept mum abt eCAS access, hence the confusion. I reckon they might be phasing out eCAS since myCIC is up n running for almost a yr
