You don't have to use your DL as ID for your application, but you do need to update the address on your driver's license to your current place.manty said:Hello,
I have a query for IDs requirements Citizenship application.
My Driving License is not updated with new address yet.
Can i send Health card and passport Id as 2 required IDs for Citizenship application?
Thanks
Manty
Who said it takes 3 months to receive new DL? it takes hardly 4 weeks. Don't waste time. Apply for an updated one now and you will keep the old one as well because they don't take it from you and then you can decide what to do.manty said:and would not to want to wait for 3 months to get driver license with new address and then apply.
Manty meant to say that if the ID(driver's license) is reissued and if it is less than 3 months, it is a RQ trigger.Goldline said:Who said it takes 3 months to receive new DL? it takes hardly 4 weeks. Not anymore. I did apply with a DL issued less than 3 months and I'm taking the test this week with no RQ.thecoolguysam said:Manty meant to say that if the ID(driver's license) is reissued and if it is less than 3 months, it is a RQ trigger.
Its suggested to get driver's license with updated address so that it does not raise any doubt to CIC officer's mind. In BC, when you request address update, they send you a sticker and you stick it on the back of the license. Which province do you live in?manty said:Guys,
I wanted to ask if it is ok to use Driver License with old address on it for ID Purpose.
Even though updated driver license would be coming in 4 weeks to 6 weeks, but just wanted to know if citizenship canada would use Driving license as ID only or they would need Driving License with updated address on it?
