Is court marriage accepted for sponsorship, if it is arranged marriage?

Hello guys, I am going to have an engagement and court marriage in India. We will not do real Indian ritual wedding. Is it enough to show to the officer that we are legally married?
I am confused here, because I will not have a real Indian wedding and we are going to show that it is arranged relationship.

It will be more difficult to be approved. If it's an arranged marriage, IRCC generally expects that other normal traditions are followed such as the full wedding.

Would suggest having a traditional ceremony even if it is scaled back due to covid.

We will have a engagement ceremony and receptions. But, I get mixed thoughts about doing Indian style wedding and court marriage. We will have a wedding after 1 year. So, I am not sure court marriage will work or not.

The big issue is that IRCC is aware that most court marriages are only for sponsorship and that many will have their “real” wedding later on. When it comes to arranged marriages is is fairly uncommon to have a court wedding. Would suggest that you at least have a small traditional ceremony with at least your immediate family and that you post on things like social media that you got married with some pictures and change status to married. Would also start living together or spend time alone together before returning to Canada. Many do a court marriage but friends and family are not aware of the court marriage and the large ceremony is considered the “true” wedding. Many also don’t live together after the court marriage.
