It is illegal to charge an employee for finding a job offer. The EMPLOYER is the one who pays the agent. Fees for completing forms, within reason, you can understand, but the thousands of dollars you mention is NOT. Beware that any job which you are offered without meeting with the employer (establishing a relationship) has to be fake. Would YOU hire someone without even talking to them on SKYPE? Be very careful about the credentials of the consultant you use. Be sure they are approved. Good Luck.

Please be sure to understand the nature of the services on offer before you make assumptions. It is a matter for your own self whether you choose to use a consultant or not. I have personally found that my relatives and friends have been very well placed with jobs according to their skills and qualifications.

BTW any lawyer or consultant charges about the same for PR, PNP or any other process.
No one charges for finding a job.

between $6000 - $7000 and they even offered an installment option so initial deposit then another payment after 4 months then final payment with acceptance of job offer.
its too much man... what about the job after landing to canada? will the employer still provide the job? i don't think so, the money only for the job offer, thats it. :o :o
i think from 2012 some new rules is comming out to prevent this type of fraudulent job offer and for the employer like this.. >:(

In my opinion you dont need a consultant. Of course it is a bit of head ache doing everything on your own but plenty of good people in this forum to help u.

Is Canadavisa.com not a consultancy of which you are using their forum?

Hi ,never/ever go to consultant mate ,they will suck your blood ,iam the example ,in spite of having all docs handy i went to him ,believed him but he was such a slow animal that i had to hang around him and after getting his charges/fees he went missing ,no contact .iam fighting againt him .wher u from mate ? u from Nepal?

My personal opinion, if you want to save time or hassel you can hire a consultant.
Last year I tried figuring out stuff on my own, getting affidavits made for the docs I didnt had...time got over and the NOC got closed. Paying money to save you a year is not bad...but again, it is my personal opinion.
