Hi,

I m international student applying for web design and development course in humber fall 2018 intake.

It is an Certificate of achievement course not Ontario graduate certificate.

I wanna know whether this course is eligible for PGWP??

Anyone into Certificate of achievement course or knows details about it. Kindly share it across.

Thanks in advance.

I spoke to international advisor at Humber, even they are not sure and will not give any promises. Since it is certificate of achievement. They say it depends upon on the visa officer.

But the course is full time and it’s one year course plus it has DIL as well

Hey,
I got admission in the same program but my visa got rejected.
And they have mentioned "other reasons" for rejection.
Anyone knows the specific reason for rejection?
Can Certificate of Achievement create issue in your visa file???

Did you get to know that web design and development - certificate of achievement course for humber college is eligible for work permit or not? please
anybody reply who have applied for work permit for this course.

    • at a designated learning institution
    • that was at least 8 months long and
    • that led to a degree, diploma or certificate
  • maintained full-time status
Check these 4 things. Certificate should be elligible fo pgwp

All above criteria are fulfilled for web design and development course.
Actually on humber college website, for all Certificate of Achievement course it is written that *Students pursuing these programs may not be eligible for postgraduate work experience in Canada*. After reading this i got confused and really worried.

when i asked humber they told me that it is up to the immigration officer to decide if you will get pgwp, you may or you may not
But i believe that since hellboy posted :
    • at a designated learning institution
    • that was at least 8 months long and
    • that led to a degree, diploma or certificate
  • maintained full-time status
This is a certificate so there is a good chance of getting pgwp.
please link the information website where you found "Students pursuing these programs may not be eligible for postgraduate work experience in Canada."
