Hi,

My cousin wants to come to canada and he has a usa multiple entry for 10 years. Will acquiring a canadian tourist visa be hard for him? He just returned from the usa 3 weeks ago and wants to come here. He has 13k canadian dollars in the bank. We will be applying from manila,
Philippines.

Regards

Hi, i hope it should not be hard.

Cheers..

He has really good travel history, he has money in the bank but is unemployed right now. Thats his own money that he saved and has bank history for that aswell. We are just worried about his family ties cuz his parents went back to saudi arabia to work so only his sister was left with him at home. He also doesnt have property cuz he is over seas woker but always comes home every year to phils for vacation. He went to thailand and usa this year.

I was granted a 10 year US visa two weeks before i applied for a single entry Canadian TRV and still got refused, so don't think that the Canadians will go easy on you.

Yes but wouldnt the travel history be good? He just came back few weeks ago and wouldnt visa officer be satisfied he will leave canada after vacation?

these guys don't care US visa or visit
my mom visited US 4 times has a recent US 5 yr multiple
visited Canada twice in last 5 yrs, but got refused twice.
it depends on application and situation. and also may be VO ? don't know....

What was your mothers purpose for the trip? I think we are gonna hire an immigration consultant. But of course we wanna make sure with the experienced guys here because this is one of the best forums to ask. Thanks man!

only reson was family ties in home country, as my father passed away last yr and no siblings back home.

Im sorry to hear about that. Its always hard to lose someone. Thanks very much for ur replies man. My cousin has a sibling in home country but his mom and dad had to work abroad.

i hope your cousin's case will be different, wish him/her good luck. And thanks.

Its a myth that a US visa will almost guarantee a Canadian visa

Hey it looks like the party moved over to this thread! Being young, single, globally mobile AND especially unemployed, is going to make it very hard for your cousin to convince the VO he is not a risk to overstay. If he is not in a rush he might be better to make his application once he has a good permanent job.
