Is CA Articleship counted as work experience

Hi,

Has anyone applied for PR with CA articleship experience??

I have done CA Inter and did CA articleship simultaneously with B.COM. So is this counted as work experience?? Please let me know. Thank you

Thank you for your reply. But I haven't finished CA. I cleared CA Inter. As per the NOC 1111 employment requirement it says some university degree is required or CPA designation.

Since I was doing my graduation simultaneously, am I eligible to claim points under this?

I shouldn't be a matter. I claimed experience before qualifying CPA and finishing degree. As far as it is towards gaining an articleship for membership and you can prove you covered the job duties as well as full time 30 hours per week you should be ok.

Also this is assuming experience outside Canada. Cause I don't know how does it happen for CEC.

I joined CA in 2012, simultaneously completed my B.com from Delhi University in 2014. Completed my CA inter both groups in 2013. Did my articleship from 11/2013 to 11/2016. even after my articleship continued to work in the same CA firm for some time. due to some family situation came back to my home town, so didn't give my CA Final Exam till today (10/09/2021). However, I got my Accounting Technician Certificate from ICAI in 2018. During 2017-2019 when I was in my home, I have been providing Accounting services, and return filling services to general public on my own (working as self employed. I have also been filling my income tax returns since 2016. in 2019 I cleared a competitive exam and joined in a PSU. now i also have 2 years work experience in that PSU also.

can I claim my articleship work experience because -
a. there was a gap of approx 2.5 yrs between my articleship completion and job and but during that gap I was self employed.
b. I have never given my CA Final Exams instead I took ATC certificate from ICAI
c. My current job is different CA profile. though I still provide bookkeeping and tax services to clients.
