It's going well. I'm reading IELTS preparation book. I think it helps a lot. The test is not difficult but you need to be concentrated especially in listening part.

How about you?

I haven't started yet but as u said it shud b easy;
I have taken toefl few yrs ago, i scored well in it so i think this one shud b ok too, but still I jus need to look at the format of writing. hope will do good.
is ur entire exam goin to b held on the same dear?
for me, i registered for 9th but they asked me to appear on 8th for listening :(.. so stupid,, i will have to go for exam in middle of my work. :(

by the way, where u taking exam in NY? manhattan? i used to live here, i love there, gr8 place!

Yes but still you need to know the structure of the exam to take it.

As for me I'm taking listening, reading, and writing on May 9. They will tell me when I'm gonna have speaking part. It's going to be the same day or some other day. At least you can take most of the exam on Saturday. It's good for working people.

It'll take place on Varick St, lower Manhattan, not far from Financial District. I love Manhattan as well:)

no I don't know anyone who's taking the test. right, you better check the structure of the test. I'm so lazy these days. cannot make myself write at least couple of essays.

how was the exam for you today?
I had speaking yesterday, i think it went well
but today i had entire exam,...and i went without writing practice :(.. it went little less than i expected. Overall it was good.
how abt u?

Hey hi:) It went well. Thanks for asking.

Yeah it was a good idea to get prepared for the test. I bought a book before, and was preparing according to it. When I went there everything was as it is described in the book. Even one of the writing assignments was exactly the same as in the book.
I think, in general it went ok. Listening part was very fast. While I was writing the answer to the question I missed an answer to another one.
I didn't like the 2nd part of listening. It had a picture with a library on it so you had to follow the guide and locate on the map everything he says. I was very confused with the picture and not confident in my answers.
Reading part was very easy. I did it fast. Writing was not bad too. I already wrote one of the assignments at home so I remembered it and just put it down on the test sheet. I have speaking part on Monday.
All in all I liked it. Atmosphere was good and examiners were extremely nice.

I think it's gonna be ok:) Don't worry. Can you tell me what you did on speaking part?

wow, it seems like you practice the exact same exam at home!..
yea even i didnt like that library one,.. even i felt that i was lost in one answer but i thought caught up with the speech fortunetely... i was little late in reading, didnt get time to revise :( and even in writing, i couldnt write more than 250 words...
hopefully will get enough score :)
