Is anyone else an Austrian citizen going through the Vienna office?

I clicked through a ton of pages of the Vienna thread and couldn't find anyone who made it clear that they were actually from Austria. I have noticed that the German applications tend to be processed more quickly than those coming from Bosnia, etc. I'm thinking they probably have two separate piles - EU citizens and non-EU citizens.

Basically, I'm wondering about average times for someone from Austria rather than Germany. I have seen German citizens being processed much faster than the 17 month "average" posted on the board recently while others from Bosnia (for example) are still waiting 2 years down the road. Does anyone have any idea of the difference between EU/non EU citizens' processing times through the Vienna office? Is there a difference at all or it is all strictly luck??

Thank you!

They don't make piles for EU and non-EU. It alway depends how fast the officer works, how long background checks take, if the spouse was in military, if additional documents are needed etc. I know many non-EU members who were faster processed than EU members.

I applied through Vienna as well (I'm German) and I had to wait longer than many non-EU applicants

Good to know! Unfortunately Austria has a mandatory 6 month military service rule, I hope that doesn't slow our process down too much. He learned how to drive a tank, did a training course, and then was done basically. He couldn't even remember who his commanding officer was.. and when he called to ask they couldn't tell him either! We're not sure what to do about that part.
