Hey,
Try not to worry too much. If you meet the specifications of a sponsor in their eyes, that's all that counts. I sponsored my ex-husband in 2003...meet my new husband in 2007...got married in 2009...started sponsoring him in 2010...they asked for his passport...we sent it in and now we are waiting for it to come back!!...we have a difference of 5 years between us (i'm older)! So, it will be alright. Keep thinking positively, I know it's hard, but try! (Hope this helps)
Good luck!

I agree worrying will only make things worse. I would not worry if you haven't heard back from CIC-M yet. It has been less that 30 days. Average time is 30-40 days to process your sponsorship part. And with the holiday's it might be delayed a little because the government offices are closed a couple of week days for the holiday's.

Take heart you will hear something soon!
