Is an upfront medical exam required for a Study Permit application?

Not sure if it's actually required and worried about the delay it will cause to our application, as the next available date is in January next year, still a month away from now.

If you are applying under SDS category then YES, upfront medical is required. Otherwise, you can submit application without medical.. But, upfront medical always better for fast processing.
