Kindly confirm to me if ACADEMIC MODULE of IELTS is now acceptable for
Canadian Immigration purpose particularly Skilled worker immigrant.

I have taken the IELTS exam (academic version) last July 31, 2010 and my overall band score is 7 (listening 7.5, reading 8, writing 6, speaking 7). Is there any chance that I can use this result for application in Canada? I have already applied for nursing eligibility in Nova Scotia since they require IELTS in academic version for the eligibility application.

Or do I need to take the IELTS in general training version?

You need IELTS General module for Canadian PR proccessing.

You need to take the general module IELTS inorder to consider for PR application.

Under new rules only General is acceptable and everyone is required to submit the IETLS result with their application to CIO.
