Is a spouse and a child considered two applicants?

I am filling out the sponsorship form. Do I fill out one for my spouse and another one for her son? Is that two application fee's of $75? I know in the applicant forms we list my spouse and then any other applicants it is just on the sponsors form that I am confused.

The fee will be $475 for the spouse + $75 for the dependent child.

Family Class applicants – Fees Application $CAN
Sponsorship application (per application) 75 (your fee to sponsor)
Principal applicant (spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or other family member) 475 (This is for your spouse)
Principal applicant, if under 19 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner (including a dependent child of the sponsor, a child to be adopted and an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild) 75 (This is for the child)

Thanks for your replies. What got me confused was on the sponsors application. I could only see where there was a place for one applicants name.
