Is a one year British Master's Degree accepted in Canada?

Are one year Master’s degrees generally accepted in Canada? Or do they have to be 2 and above?

I’m planning on immigrating to Canada with my husband (not sure which route yet), but as of right now I do not have the funds to be pursuing a Master’s degree there, so I’m planning to go as soon as I’m done with my postgraduates which I’ll be pursuing at Nottingham University (The Malaysian Campus, since Malaysia is pretty affordable).

I wanna know if it would be equivalent to a Canadian Master’s before I enrol.

Does it help if it’s from Nottingham Uni?

Outside of the Express Entry, I don't think the Master's Degree will help much for your immigration case.

For Express Entry, you'll need to get your non-Canadian education assessed by designated organizations, but it doesn't matter whether the degree is one-year or not (check the comparison table for Express Entry).

It will tell you the equivalency but, as a short cut, yes your Masters from any UK institution is equivalent to a Masters in Canada.
