I would like to ask your opinion about my job duties and NOC code. I am a Banking Advisor at RBC (Call-center) and, recently, received my employment letter that is aligned with NOC 6235, but does not have all required duties in it. I already met a lawyer and he said that he will not help me with Express Entry application, because he considers it risky. Please, share with me your opinion and thank you in advance!
My duties:
As an Advice Centre Banking Advisor, Applicant is primarily responsible for executing the service experience by providing advice, resulting in selling RBC's products and services to personal clients. More specifically, the duties of the AC Banking Advisor position include but are not limited to:
• Responding to personal and business clients with professional and accurate service for their everyday banking transaction needs in the RBC Advice Centre.
• Opening new personal accounts for personal clients.
• Providing access to ATMs, telephone banking, and online banking services for both personal and business clients.
• Reviewing and updating personal credit and loan documentation for records maintenance.
• Identifying delinquent loans, credit cards, credit cards, credit lines, or mortgages (over 16 days) and referring clients to Collections.
• Looking for opportunities to offer additional advice beyond the immediate need, and referring clients to the appropriate RBC partner/alternative channel in an effective and efficient manner.
• Assisting clients by proposing solutions to address financial objectives such as debt management, investment and other financial goals. Briefly introducing investment and credit products to meet clients' financial needs. Referring clients to the appropriate advisors.
• Promoting the sale of deposit, investment, credit, and loan products and services.
• Submitting pre-approved overdraft protection and pre-approved credit card applications.
• Championing digital enablement by becoming an advocate of the RBC mobile application and wallet, and by promoting regular usage by teaching and guiding clients on how to use it. Staying informed on all new features and digital application capabilities on the RBC mobile application and wallet in order to educate clients on ease of use and ensure clients leave activated, able to transact, and aware of availability of additional support.
NOC 6235:
Financial sales representatives perform some or all of the following duties:
•Open new personal and non-personal accounts, and provide access to automated banking machine, telephone banking and online banking services
•Interview applicants for personal, mortgage, student and business loans
•Promote the sale of deposit, investment, credit and loan products and services
•Assist clients by proposing solutions to address financial objectives such as business expansion, debt management, investment and other financial goals
•Research and evaluate loan applicant's financial status, references, credit and ability to repay the loan
•Complete credit and loan documentation
•Submit credit and loan applications to branch or credit manager with recommendations for approval or rejection; or approve or reject applications within authorized limits ensuring that credit standards of the institution are respected
•Prepare statements on delinquent accounts and forward irreconcilable accounts for collector action
•Review and update credit and loan files
•Act as joint custodian for cash and securities.
